What an adventure we had learning to make our own leggings at Thursday night's Sewing Workshop! Sewing can seem a bit intimidating for beginners, so our instructor Rebecca waltzed in with metallic leggings that she had made earlier that day just to prove how simple it was! She also came fully prepared with a huge selection of fun fabric patterns, a wagon load of sewing machines, traced out paper guides for cutting out panels, case full of pins, elastic, and even a hand-drawn diagram with simple directions for us to follow.

After giving us a run through of the entire process, Rebecca remained so patient and encouraging throughout the evening, jumping from station to station, machine to machine whenever we called out for help. Her fun-loving persona helped us let go, laugh at mistakes, and just have fun! Being mindful of her slogan of the night, "Don't judge yourself!" we're happy to report that we all left with a pair of leggings!
