Join knitting and crochet designer Cara Corey to learn how to make your own lightweight tote, perfect for the beach this summer.
In this beginner-friendly knitting class, you will learn to make a basic knit stitch using large circular knitting needles. Then you will seam the bottom of your bag and add homemade braided handles. The finished bag is approximately 12x15 inches.
This stitch actually creates a reversible pattern, so you can wear your bag two ways. And by using the large needles, you will get an airy weave that makes the perfect summer bag for markets or the beach. Once you know how to make the bag, you can adapt the pattern to different sizes and shapes.
Your kit will include:
• 200 feet of 3/16" cotton clothesline rope
• A set of size 50/25 mm circular knitting needles
• Printed instructions
