Women's Fall Arrivals

Daisy McClellanComment

It’s time to say goodbye to Indian summer and welcome back Karl the fog with open arms. The locals already know this, but we like to remind those new to San Francisco to remember three words: layer, layer, layer! At gather, we have some favorites that serve this very purpose.

First, we never leave the house without our Warbler hooded rain jacket by Bridge and Burn. With its double hand packets and slight hi-lo hem, it provides functionality with feminine details. This item is 100% Nylon and is available in Black or Olive. Great to wear to work or a casual stroll to your local coffee shop.

And with the fog rolling in, time to put on a sweater! What better way to leave our heart in San Francisco than to cozy up in our Raven Sweatshirt by Preloved? Each sweater is constructed with 14oz terry and mixed red vintage sweater fabric for hearts, front and back, making each sweater a unique piece. Sleeves are ¾ length. Available in navy stripe or black stripe.

In typical San Francisco fashion, the sun has decided to show up for a little while, so time to peel off that sweater and jacket and change into something a little flirtier. New in store, we enjoy twirling in the sun with our airy Paper Crane Top by gather X harumi K. This blouse features a tulip flyaway back to flash just a hint of skin. Front mustard fabric features white paper cranes, found by gather owner Daisy on her latest trip to Paris. Back is solid dark teal, high quality 100% cotton poplin made in Japan. Pair this tank with your favorite skinny jeans or wear it with a blazer when it’s time to go to the office. These tops are available in a variety of patterns.

Make a statement with pairing your tulip top by adding a statement piece. We love Roxanne Roxanne's fiber necklaces (seen above) but we also just added new necklaces by Crescent Company. Made with a mix of nylon rope and polymer clay, each piece is sure to be a conversation starter. Lightweight and easy to wear!

Need a new dress you can  layer with our micro climates' ever changing temps? We are living in this new Make It Good number. It looks wonderful with tights, booties, and a cozy cardigan perfect for running around town. And that print- could it be any cooler?!

Stop by the shop to check out all our new Fall arrivals. We have new things hitting our racks every day!

Vintage Levi's from Preloved

Daisy McClellanComment

Levi's are the gold standard to vintage denim lovers. Their classic fit is one that will never go out of style. Levi Strauss came to San Francisco in the 1800`s to help create the first pair of jeans so it's no coincidence that jeans are part of any San Franciscan's uniform. We love the flattering and versatile fit vintage Levi's provide so that's why we've partnered with our friends at Preloved, searching far and wide to bring you the perfect pair. They sent us the best of the best, looking for the classic fit and washes. The hunt is over! We’ve got the vintage jeans you've been looking for in store for you now...Hurry we anticipate these bad boys will go fast!

Felt Succulent Workshop - Wednesday September 23rd

Daisy McClellanComment

If you missed the Urban Air Market this past Sunday, you’ll be happy to know that you have a chance to meet and craft with one of the designers that was there, Erin Garcia from Feed the Fish Co. here at gather at our next workshop on Wednesday, September 27th, at 7pm. Erin’s designs can be seen on Darby Smart, and her handmade goods are popping up all over California. We particularly love her celebratory felt pennants, perfect for waving around at any festive occasion!

While others across the country prepare for the autumn season with maple and pumpkins, join us in celebrating San Francisco’s Indian summers instead by sprucing your home or workplace with a beautiful sustainable garden. With the heavy drought season, our Felt Succulent Workshop allows you to decorate your home with as many pots as you like without using an ounce of our precious water (not to mention if you’re just a bit forgetful with remember to water!) And let’s face it, we love succulents because they come in all sorts of shapes, size, and colors, and can be grown in any vessel we can come up with! At this workshop, Erin will teach us how to make three types of felt succulents arranged in upcycled dishware.

Bring your creativity and crafting spirit, we’ll provide the drinks and snacks, and if you find your eyes wandering on the many other beautifully designed products at our store, feel free to shop around and we’ll give you a 10% discount on any gather purchase that evening! Space is limited, so reserve your spot now!

Thank you so much for everyone who attended our 1 year anniversary party last night! We were overwhelmed by the amount of friends who come and showed their support. We went home with such a feeling of love! The shop wouldn't be possible with our amazing artists, customers, and friends. Here are a few pictures from the night!

A big thank you to Mary from Spirit Speak Tarot who was busy the whole night with her wonderful tarot readings.

Also thank you to Floss Gloss, Lighten Up Shoppe, and Creative Ninja for creating items for our goodie bags!

Arm Knitting Workshop: a recap

Sally GallerComment

We had so much fun at the arm knitting workshop - thank you to all who came and made it a great evening! Cara Corey (of Mary Marie Knits) was a wonderful instructor; explaining everything so well and making sure everyone was picking it up. We left clutching our handmade cowls, generally feeling like knitting superstars.

Based in Richmond, CA, Cara is one of gather's favorite local artists. Pop by and check out her awesome handiwork! We've got some cowls in gorgeous jewel tones, comfortable slouchy hats, and new baskets and poufs for the home.

Thanks for a great workshop, Cara! Stay tuned for more gather workshops coming soon.
