Candle Making Workshop: a recap

Daisy McClellanComment

Thank you to everyone who attended our Candle Making Workshop last week! This sold out class was taught by two of our favorite makers Joy from Lighten Up Shoppe and Rebecca from Oodlebadoodle.

Rebecca started off the class by teaching the group how to make the whimsical votive holders shaped like dinosaur eggs! This involved balloons and a plaster like material which made everyone get in touch with their 5 year old self. The best part was there were no two alike making each truly one-of-kind.

While the votives dried, Joy taught the art of candle making. She had brought a variety of scents so you could concoct your perfect aroma. We opted for an uplifting eucalyptus. We'll be enjoying on handmade candles over the next few months!

Missed this class and interested in the next? Make sure you sign up for our newsletter so you can receive details on our future workshops. Mark your calendars for July 25th when we will be making watercolor pillow cases! Details to come soon!
