Join us Wednesday September 18th at 7p for our Embroidery Workshop with Melisa Joy. In this class you’ll master embroidery basics as you complete a sweet stitch sampler hoop while you learn several basic stitches. You’ll leave with a skill set that can be used on so many different objects and projects!
You will learn:
How to transfer a printed image to fabric
About the appropriate fabric, embroidery floss, needles and other tools that are required
How to do a basic outlining stitch to complete your embroidered image
How to finish & “frame” your finished piece in an embroidery hoop
You’ll leave the class with a finished hoop made by you, goodie bag with mini project, and the know-how to tackle more embroidery projects on your own! All materials needed will be provided and are included in class cost.
Materials Include: 2 hoops, pre-printed fabric, denim or cotton fabric, transfer paper, floss, needles, stitch instructions, marker/pencil, drawstring project bag, & notebook.
This two hour class also includes wine and snacks and a discount on merchandise at Dandelion Post (where our studio is located) that day!
